Testing and Assessments

We provide evidence-based screening and counseling assessments for depression, anxiety, autism, and ADHD. These services are designed to bring clarity, guide therapy planning, and, when needed, support referrals for further evaluation.

How Assessments Can Help You

Assessments offer more than symptom identification—they help you understand yourself on a deeper level. They clarify strengths, highlight areas for growth, and uncover patterns that may influence emotions and behavior. This insight helps create a tailored and effective treatment plan while supporting measurable progress in therapy. Assessments can also increase self-awareness, improve emotional regulation, and strengthen communication with others, serving as a roadmap for personal growth and informed decision-making.

What We Assess

  • Depression & Anxiety (PHQ-9, GAD-7, BDI-II, BAI)

  • Autism Screening (CAST, AQ, SRS-2, CARS-2)

  • ADHD Screening (ASRS, Vanderbilt Scales, Conners-4)

What to Expect

  1. Brief Consultation – We talk through your concerns and select the right tools.

  2. Quick Questionnaires/Intake – Simple, validated screenings (5–20 minutes).

  3. Professional Review – Results scored and interpreted by a trained clinician.

  4. Clear Report & Guidance – You’ll receive a written summary with next steps.

Convenient and Accessible

The testing and assessment process is conducted entirely online through secure Telehealth platforms. This allows you to complete assessments from the comfort of your home while maintaining privacy, flexibility, and ease of scheduling. Results are reviewed with you virtually, ensuring the process remains both convenient and personalized.

Pricing

Our assessments are offered on a private-pay basis only. Because each client’s needs are unique, pricing depends on the specific screenings and assessment tools used. During your consultation, we’ll recommend the most appropriate assessments and provide a clear estimate before moving forward.

Why choose testing with a Licensed Professional Counselor as opposed to a psychologist?

Testing with a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) offers a more personal, practical, and affordable experience. Your assessment results can be shared with and integrated by your therapist, making them immediately useful—not just diagnostic. You’ll receive clear, easy-to-understand feedback focused on real-life strategies for growth, often in less time and at a lower cost than with a psychologist. The process is supportive and collaborative, helping you and your therapist use the results to guide treatment and track progress. If more comprehensive testing is ever needed, I’ll provide appropriate referrals and help ensure continuity of care.

Use in School or Medical Settings

While these assessments are designed primarily for therapeutic use, they can also support collaboration with schools or medical providers. They can help communicate emotional or behavioral needs more clearly, document progress, and guide referrals if more formal evaluations are needed. Though they do not replace comprehensive psychological or medical testing required for official diagnoses or school accommodations, they can be an important first step toward gaining the clarity and support you need.

Do you take insurance for testing and assessments?

We provide assessment services on a private-pay basis and do not bill insurance for testing. After your appointment, we can give you an itemized receipt (superbill)—including applicable CPT codes (e.g., 96127 for brief behavioral assessment)—so you may submit to your plan directly. Please note that reimbursement is not guaranteed and varies by insurer and policy.

Payment options: We accept standard payment methods, and HSA/FSA cards are welcome for eligible services.
